Former Bama QB Signed by CFL Team

No, this isn’t another article on Brandon Bridge, but one on a former University of Alabama QB; Blake Sims wasn’t drafted in the 2015 NFL draft, but did earn invites to the rookie minicamps of the Washington Redskins and Green Bay Packers. Sims wasn’t signed by an NFL team, but one CFL team took a chance on him: The Toronto Argronauts signed Sims to a 3 year contract to play at QB; it was speculated that Sims might play RB at the next level as the Redskins worked him out as a RB in their minicamp. As a starter for the Crimson Tide, Sims completed 252/391 passes with 28 TD’s, 10 INT’s, and a school-record 3,487 yards, and rushed 83 times for 350 yards and 7 TD’s. One can only wonder how he’ll be at the next level…after all, Sims started only one season for the Crimson Tide.
