If the NFL Draft Was Today: My Mock Draft 2016

  1. Cleveland Browns (2-10)-Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio State: There’s no doubt that Cleveland is in need of a QB. McCown is hurt and Manziel has been the off and on QB at times. I have also heard that in Cleveland, the “Fail for Cardale” campaign is going on right now.
  2. Tennessee Titans (3-9)-Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss: There’s no doubt that the Titans have their QB right now, but all they need now is the lineman to protect him. The Titans have given up a truck load of sacks all year.
  3. San Diego Chargers (3-9)-Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame: The chargers may want to improve their pass protection by drafting an OL here.
  4. Dallas Cowboys (4-8)-Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis: I think that since Tony Romo has been banged up not once but twice this season the Cowboys may wanna start looking for his replacement in the near future. Lynch has had a tremendous year with Memphis this season.
  5. Baltimore Ravens (4-8)-Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss: The receiving core in Baltimore is getting banged up, and with Steve Smith Sr.’s future being uncertain, the Ravens may look to add a talented target for QB Joe Flacco.
  6. Jacksonville Jags (4-8) -Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State: Jacksonville may want to part ways with former first round draftee OL Luke Joeckel. Blake Bortles needs better pass protection in order for Jacksonville to be successful.
  7. Detroit Lions (4-8)- Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State: The Lions may look to upgrade their OL in the first round by drafting an OL to protect Matthew Stafford’s blindside.
  8. New Orleans Saints (4-8) Robert Nkemdichie DE/DT, Ole Miss: The Saints’ defense definitely needs to be improved, especially after the earlier firing of Rob Ryan. Look for the Saints to upgrade its front 4 early in the draft.
  9. San Francisco 49er’s (4-8)-Jared Goff, QB, California: Kaepernick’s time is running out in San Francisco. After playing inefficiently this season, look for the 49er’s to look for Colin’s replacement.
  10. St. Louis Rams(4-8)-Myles Jack, LB/HB, UCLA: Yes, he might have torn his knee, but Jack could still have the potential to be a first round pick. The Rams could really use a LB to help out its pass rush.
  11. Miami Dolphins (5-7)-Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame: The Dolphins are having issues on defense this year and might want to upgrade its LB core.
  12. Oakland Raiders (5-7)-Joey Bosa, DE/OLB, Ohio State: The Raiders may look to improve its pass rush, especially after LB Aldon Smith was suspended for the rest of the season.
  13. Philadelphia Eagles (5-7)-Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida: The Eagles need to improve their secondary and their defense if they look to be successful in the next season. After surrendering 45 points not once but twice in two weeks for the first time ever, the Eagles need all the help they can get on the defense.
  14. N.Y. Giants (5-7)-DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon: The Giants may look for a replacement for Jason Pierre-Paul after his firework incident on the 4th of July.
  15. Chicago Bears (5-7)-Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn State: With Jay Cutler struggling, the Bears may look to find its QB of the future in the first round.
  16. Washington Redskins (5-7)-Leonard Floyd, DE/OLB, Georgia: The Redskins may use their pick to bolster their LB core in the first round.
  17. Buffalo Bills (6-6)-A’Shawn Robinson, DE/DT, Alabama: The Bills may want to find a replacement for Kyle Williams just in case they decide to part ways with him.
  18. Houston Texans (6-6)-Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State: The Texans are in need of a QB after poor play and the release of Ryan Mallet and Tom Savage being on IR.
  19. Tampa Bay Bucs (6-6) Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State: The Bucs may want to improve their pass rush in the first round.
  20. Atlanta Falcons (6-6)-Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson: Atlanta has an offense, though, it might be struggling, the defense seems to be struggling more. The Falcons may use their first round pick on a pass rusher.
  21. Indianapolis Colts (6-6)-Spencer Drango, OT, Baylor: It’s no doubt the Colts are struggling a bit this year…especially with Andrew Luck getting hurt. Look for the Colts to draft an OL to help better protect Andrew Luck’s blindside.
  22. Pittsburg Steelers (7-5)-Jayron Kearse, S, Clemson: Pitt will have a vacancy at the S spot at the end of the season and will more than likely try to draft a DB in the first round.
  23. N.Y. Jets (7-5)-Le’Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech: With D’Brickashaw Ferguson owed $20 million over the next few seasons, the Jets may look to find a replacement for him in the first round.
  24. K.C. Chiefs (7-5)-Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor: The Chiefs could be looking to improve their defense in the first round by drafting a pass rusher.
  25. Seattle Seahawks (7-5)-Vadal Alexander, OG, LSU: The Seahawks are having problems with their OL blocking, so look for them to snag an OL in the first round to help better protect Russell Wilson’s blindside.
  26. Minnesota Vikings (8-5)-Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State: The Vikings need a descent starter at the S position and may look to find one in the first round.
  27. Green Bay Packers (8-4)-Scooby Wright, LB, Arizona: The Packers simply need a LB that can create havoc in the backfield with Clay Matthews. Look for them to snag a pass rusher in the first round
  28. Cincinnati Bengals (10-2)-Shawn Oakman, DE, Baylor: The Bengals may look to bolster their DL in the first round and need a good pass rusher.
  29. New England Patriots (10-2) (1st rd pick stripped due to deflate gate)
  30. Arizona Cardinals (11-2)-Shilique Calhoun, DE, Michigan State: The Cards need to add more talent to their DL and may look to snag a DL in the first round.
  31. Denver Broncos (10-2)-Cody Whitehair, OG, Kansas State: While Peyton Manning’s future in Denver is still uncertain, the OL could use an upgrade.
  32. Carolina Panthers (12-0)-Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State: The Panthers could look to draft RB as their core continues to age.

This is a mock draft of the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft if the draft was today.
